Where We Come From
Metascan was born in Barcelona in 2024, founded on a clear mission: to provide the high-quality Human Synthetic Data essential for training the next generation of Artificial Intelligence.
As we engaged with the industry, we quickly identified that the challenges we were solving in AI — high costs, slow processes, and technical barriers — were not unique to data generation. We discovered significant bottlenecks across diverse sectors, including AR/VR, VFX, Aerospace, Fashion Tech, and Health Tech.
Driven by this realization, we evolved. We transitioned from being purely a data provider to becoming a developer of comprehensive 3D solutions. Today, we design and build proprietary technology that bridges the gap between the physical world and digital innovation, delivering scalable, high-precision 3D technology.
We are a startup built on the foundations of ethical data practices, diversity, and strict GDPR compliance. We are open to collaboration, driven by new ideas, and dedicated to contributing meaningful value to the global tech ecosystem, one 3D solution at a time.

We combine proprietary hardware and software to transform the training of AI and Computer Vision systems. Through our advanced 3D scanning system — equipped with 24 synchronized cameras and polarized lighting — we generate photorealistic human identities that eliminate the limitations and biases of traditional data, offering a scalable and technical solution for sectors such as automotive, luxury fashion, and conversational avatars.

We align our activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We promote SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by developing specialized talent in Barcelona, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by creating proprietary technology that optimizes AI model training without the need for constant mass captures — reducing operational footprints and fostering responsible innovation.
